As a non-profit organization, each year the Visual Arts Centre has to raise 20% of its operating budget through fundraising. We rely on foundations, corporations, special events but, mostly, people like you.

People from all walks of life come to the Centre to study art, create art and immerse themselves in a lively arts community.
- We make art accessible to over 3,000 students a year, day, evening and weekends. Our School of Art offers over 300 courses annually, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
- We believe the making of art is a vital human activity, a way of finding joy, understanding ourselves and the world around us.
- Our McClure Gallery has earned a respected place in the minds and hearts of Montreal artists and art-lovers for its inspiring and high quality exhibitions, lectures, publications, and even poetry readings.
- Our Outreach Programme brings art into the community to reach those who might otherwise not participate in visual art: teens at risk, youth with learning disabilities or intellectual challenges, and at-risk community centres.
- From beginner to professional artist, you’ll find at the Centre a welcoming environment and the highest quality of visual arts education.
